JUEL Prep/JUEL Coaching Applications

 
JUEL of Ontario recently awarded a Capital Region JUEL franchise to a four-way partnership comprising the Eastern Ontario Basketball Committee, OYBA Ottawa Elite, Nepean Blue Devils, and Ottawa Next Level.
 
The Coach Selection Committee of the Capital Region JUEL franchise is issuing a call for the selection of Head Coaches and Assistant Coaches for a JUEL Prep team and a JUEL team.
 
All prospective Coaches, please complete the JUEL Coaching Application Form, which includes submitting your NCCP#, uploading a Coaching Bio and supplying at least two references.
 
Coaches will be required to meet applicable JUEL Program certification requirements and have a valid Vulnerable Sector Check (a Level 3 Police Record Check) and Safe Sport Training.
 
Applications will be screened by the Coach Selection Committee to establish a short list for interviews.
 
Selection criteria will include playing and coaching experience, certification, coaching philosophy, technical knowledge, practice planning, teaching and player development, game management, ability to work with others and meet time commitments, communication skills, and demonstrated True Sport principles to ensure fairness, excellence, inclusion, and fun.
 
Once a Head Coach for each team has been selected and has accepted the position, he or she will work with the Coach Selection Committee to select an Assistant Coach from a short list of applicants.
 
By applying, prospective Coaches provide consent for the Coach Selection Committee to contact their references, view their NCCP transcript and request submission of a Police Record Check.
